The call for political hygiene in Nigeria
Political hygiene simply means the state of wellness in the trend of politics. The ability to be freed from political diseases or avoidance of political irregularities. Nigeria as a nation needs to call for a proper political hygiene.
When one talks about political hygiene, it doesn't mean that one only relates it to leadership aspects alone, but must be cordial to followership aspect too. Both the leaders and followers need to be sanitized. Instead of lamenting day and night, blaming the leaders and saying series of thing, pointing out leaders' mistakes, why can't we rise together as a family in oneness and call for a well sanitized Nigeria?
It's a pity that we all dream day and night, sing day and night, hope day and night and even pray to God day and night for a new and better Nigeria, but we haven't yet vividly looked at ways by which we can actualize the dream, we have not yet observed methods by which we can workout the goals laid down.
Right from my primary school days, we have been singing NEW NIGERIA; calling it vision 2020 but till now, there is no even a dime trace of the actualization of the so called "dream". Nigeria is a nation so blessed by God, but it's a pity to know that Nigeria is like the story of the prodigal son of which we are yet to realize. My great concern is not whether we have failed as a nation, but whether we are content with our failure. We all need to wake up from our deep sleep; lets say "NO" to political unhygienic and lets strengthen Nigeria for the betterment of us all.
"In the face of leadership flaws, too many people assume cynical perspectives, rather than do the hardwork of building relationships inwhich they can have more perspectives influence" ~ IRA CHALEFF.
The answer to every problems of Nigeria is all about migrating or switching from one political party to another(I'm not disputing this) but the major answer is "THE CALL FOR POLITICAL HYGIENE" knowing fully well that if politics is suffering from diseases, then, ECONOMY too will be affected.
