DAILY GRAMMAR (DG)
1. Many people like her because of her characters. (No)
Many people like her because of her character. (Yes) ("Character" is a mass noun when it refers a person's behaviour. However, when it refers to a person, it is a countable noun. For example, "there are many funny characters on the social media" and "he is a strange character, he doesn't greet anyone.")
2. Many a student are not serious these days. (No)
Many a student is not serious these days. (Yes) (When "many a" is used, the noun to follow it is singular and the verb too should be. For example, you say, "many parents are no longer dutiful" or "many a parent is no longer dutiful".)
3. It was very hot yesterday, but it is worst today. (No)
It was very hot yesterday, but it is worse today. (Yes) (Being the superlative form of "bad", "worst" describes something that is more than one other thing. You can say, "I have met brilliant students in my career but your son is the most brilliant one I have ever met" but you can't say, "the girl is beautiful but my daughter is the most beautiful.")
